Agh, this fic made me so happy! I was grinning so hard by the end, and I feel so warm and fuzzy. ♥ This could be read as a sequel to Awful and I'm Your Man, but it wasn't intended as such. There were so many moments I wanted to squee about in this rec, but I was too immersed in it to write them down! *squirm* I want to read it again but it's too late! D: (Shigure x Kyou, mention of past Shigure trysts) (NC-17) - I'm Your Man by Lishy the Po [Excerpt] - Kyo makes a little request and Shigure's just the man for the job.
I didn't know this was a sequel to "Awful" until things started to piece together. It can be read without having read "Awful" first, though. Basically it's just a follow up about Kyou's feelings afterward, after Shigure realizes that something is up. I like how realistic it is - I also like being held, so I could sympathize with Kyou here. There were a few insightful things in this fic that were a nice touch as well, such as the mention of Akito. (Shigure x Kyou, mention of past trysts) (R) - Awful by Lishy the Po [Excerpt] - Kyo confronts Shigure and gets more than he bargained for.
Simple premises, excellent execution! I had a sudden strong urge to read Shigure x Kyou, and this fulfilled that quite nicely. As a matter of fact, I think I will go reread it after this. The author's use of 'biscuit brown skin' made me go 'wtf?' at first, but by the end it almost seemed to fit like an affectionate term. ...I'd die for a sequel to this!
