- ロヴィン村 - WTF...this crack... I think I kinda love it! XDD There's lots of goofy L, some Mello, Matt and Near, and the occasional Light x L. Not everything is crack - some are actually really serious or morbid. I like the illusts of L and Light as children. The style seems to change to suit the mood of the illust and I like that. There's a couple really memorable illusts, but one in particular is of L laying on the ground, while an out-of-shot Light holds him down with a foot (shoes on). (...Also, the Suga Shikao - 19sai music video parody illust! :DD)

- んま！ - Recommended especially for Mello and/or Light fans because that's who most of the illustrations are from. There's only one illust each of the pairings listed but they are yum, so! Oh, and if you like Misa, definitely check out the second illust of her. Pretty! (Mello x Near, L x Light) (PG)

- Dizzy Melon - Oddly enough, what motivated me to rec this site was the Naomi illust. I'm not sure what being scantily clad has to do with justice, but it's hot! Besides that one, 'couple' is my most awesome favorite ever! L looks really flippin' hot with his hair like that, and they're cozying up to each other like that is just...*keyboard mash*. Also, how could you not be curious about a book titled "The Beast That Shouted Love at the Heart of the World" being read by Light? (Light x L) (PG)

- ゼロ博 - Really like the coloring here, and the L more than anything. And some of them are really amazing, such as L sitting on the floor facing away from the view, hands to his face and white wings with feathers falling to the floor. Really captures the imagination! - 斉藤です。 - *laugh* This site has a silly Light. Matt is really awesome here, and I like L as well. He's always staring at Light. ;) I thinkthe artist has a good grasp on their characters, because in one illust the staring is thus: Light > viewer, Mikami > Light, L > Light, Near > L, Mello > Near, Matt > nothing in particular (why is he eating a banana though? - E.O.R - Wow, I really like the illust of Jealous and Rem as half human, half demon; especially Rem. eri-yama-san's style is really interesting. At times it can be really cute/funny, and at others pretty dark. I also really like the "Yes" or "No" L illust. Despite the Engrish, I like the text on the illusts. - left ＆ right - Oh man... I was just going along, enjoying the site until... the topic I'd always been thinking of came up all in one illust. L's body after it's taken away. I love this illust... *sniff* Besides that, there are some really creepy illusts here, as well as some really fascinating ones. OMG, like the animal+L and little L ones. @_@ This site has seriously given me some major fic ideas. *shakes fist at site* I have too many already! - ハリアック - ponkit-san's way of drawing dark lines with darker colors works so well with Death Note! I really like how she draws Mello and Near (Mikami too!). ponkit-san draws the characters in some really interesting poses/scenes. ♥.♥ Note: Don't forget to check out the icons~! - 超蜂 - I would give the style a 3 out of 5 - but the creativity 10/10. OMG, I'll never get pantsless L out of my head because of this site! Nor Ryuk in a shopping cart being pushed around by Light. *snicker* I love this site. Somehow they make L look perfectly normal (and cute) in girl's clothes (even seifuku). - サブレ - I'd say this site is half and half. Half silly and half serious. I love both sides, but I understand the serious side better over the Japanese gags. I love how the artist draws L and Light's bodies. It's just as I imagine them to be. *grin* I love the crack illusts, such as one of L kicking over the table Light was eating off of with a fake 'oops' look. XD Mad!Light can be amusing sometimes, not just deadly. The colors and coloring are one of my favorite styles, especially for L and Light. Also, if you're not much in the mood for angsty Death Note and Shinigami related illusts, this site is perfect, as in many of the illusts Light and L are doing 'normal' things such as going to school, walking, eating, sometimes fighting or angsting, etc. <3 Can't miss out on the Whammy kids either. It's gonna take a while to get the illust of Near and Mello wearing Christmas Tree costumes in a play out of my head now... (L x Light, Light x L, Near x Mello, Aiber x L, other) (R)

- ロツレチリハ - Wonderful, wonderful site! I love the illust of L chained to a golden cross, very symbolic. I like all of the L stuff - the darkness is so... appealing. I like the Light + L stuff because of the contrast, especially in the illust of the two sitting on 'thrones' - L's is red, velvety and big while Light's is skinny, long and elegant (though hard looking). I love the B.B page, so dark! Note: Click on B.B on the left side of the front page for B.B and L illusts. B is mentioned in the manga (v1 or v2 I believe, it's after L realizes Misora Naomi is missing) and is the main character in the Death Note novel titled Another Note. B.B stands for Beyond Birthday. - FUJIKO - Looking at these illustrations (especially certain ones) made me so in awe of this artist. My heart skipped several beats - this fanart is genius! I adore the Near+Mello and Light+L. - Balgus REC - I've been here several times before. It wasn't laziness or lack of good art that made me not rec it. It was that the art is just so good that I was speechless on what to say. The style really reminds me of later Hikaru no Go art by Ogata-san. It has this 'mature' feel that just takes my breath away. And, the ideas are brilliant, such as the one of Light pulling back a curtain and looking at the viewer, or the one of Light tied to a cross and shackled, with tattered clothes that look like devil wings! Then there's the canon style drawings that are fabulous beyond comparison. *_* (Light x L, Near x Mello) (G)

- Black Box - I really really love the feel of this style. I'm watching the anime and am at a point where L and Light are starting their 'friendship/cat-n-mouse game' and this site just presses all my buttons. *happy* Lolol, I love the illust in one of the logs of little L being compared to a frog. - M-ca - Just enough illusts for me to feel alright about rec'ing it right now. Because there's no way I couldn't rec it. &*^)* What amazing art. *_* It's even better and more canon style then the Blood+ gallery. The Mello illust is somehow really pretty. I think it's the smooth look and colors. The colors are a big part of what makes this style awesome, and it has the lines to back it up. Also, the Light x L x Light is so sexy... *.* I haven't fangirled Death Note in too long, obviously. - アオネコ - A cute site with M & N! Very fluffy stuff. I love the rosy cheeks and watercolors. This style actually reminds me of a fanfic I just read about them, when they were 10, and this one picture reminds me of the scene where they kiss... I'll have that fanfic rec'ed soon. - tirol - I searched specifically for Mello and Nia and this is the second site I found (the first one wasn't so good). First thing I have to say is I adore NM: 0517. I just loved it the second I saw. it. XD There's not a *bunch* of Illusts. but as I look through them I say "who cares!" what's here is enough. I'm so glad I found this site. *.* It presents possibilities for ficcage, and inspiration. ;) Don't forget to look in the trash section. - BOLERO - The art here is so cool and unique! I especially love the Pocky vol. pics. XD All of the pictures are almost like wallpapers. <3 And the color on them makes them look neat. - WILDER THAN HEAVEN - The Death Note illusts are so cool! Definitely different from the usual fanart I encounter. I really like the pic of Raye Penber holding a scythe in a grave yard with the moon at his back. Also has Fullmetal Alchemist, Prince of Tennis, and Harry Potter fanart. Be sure to check out the PBBS and the diary. * Site has changed since I rec'ed this long ago. There're only a few Death Note illusts, but they're worth it.

- Noah's Ark - I LOVE this site! They have 18 beautiful illustrations. I especially like "Crucify", "Shall I kill you?", "Believe me...and die.", "KILL & KISS", and the newest one, "You Became Mine Forever.". Most of them really catch the angsty feel, and some of them are brilliant, like the ones I mentioned above. They also have D.Gray-Man illusts. (RaitoL) *Closed/Moved* - [Japanese]
- s o r a y-U - I LOVE the feel of this art! It isn't sharp, or too colored, it has this light feel too it that isn't just too much. I like that it isn't angsty, but seems to give you the "light" feel of Death Note. I also love the pictures with Ryuuku in them. The way the artist draws Sayu... really makes you smile. :) Lots of pictures of Raito and Sayu when they were little, they are so sweet.
